I am an engineer by trade and a model engineer by choice. I have always had an interest in railways and anything steam powered. I built a 16mm narrow gauge garden railway several years ago, and had loads of fun running live steam radio controlled models with a group of like minded friends. Later, I decided to build a 5 inch gauge steam loco from scratch and then thought a garden line would be a cool idea.

Since this, the infection has spread to a few of my 16mm mates and we've joined the local model engineering society www.hdmes.co.uk

My wife was the inspiration behind this venture. She noticed that many people do not have the time or the equipment necessary to build locos etc from scratch, but would love to own and run a live steam engine. This is where we believe this small operation can be of service.
